Pietzsch Aktiengesellschaft of Ettlingen, Germany, was founded by Dr. Ludwig Pietzsch as an engineering and development company.
1973
Pietzsch is approached by the Goetze Company to engineer and develop a method
of measuring wear and shape distortion in engine bores. The Form
Measurement Division was born, as well as the Incometer product
line.
1978
PAT Equipment Corporation, Inc. was formed as a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary
of Pietzsch in order to better serve the international demands for their
products.
1979
Launch of the S series Incometer.
1983
Launch of the V series Incometer.
1988
The initial stock offering of Pietzsch was made as the company went public.
1989
Development of the first fully automatic inline measuring station for cylinder bore
form, surface finish, cross hatch pattern and crankshaft journal alignment.
1992
Launch of the SAM (semi-automatic measuring station).
1993
Launch of the P series production Incometer.
1994
Launch of the Topometer video inspection system with surface finish capabilities.
1999
Spin-off of Incometer division into PAT Gauge, Inc. as a separate entity.
2002
Launch of the new Windows-based software for cylinder bore analysis.
2007
Launch of the Windows XP version of INCOWIN software, with full scanning mode capabilities.
2008
Reintroduction of the GFM product line to the U.S. market.
2009
Launch of GFM Golf, a system for measuring clubface grooves to determine conformance with 2010 USGA standards.
